Blasting Media:

  * all of our available media present no health or environmental hazards*

Bullfrog Blasting uses high quality, eco-friendly materials for use with our blasting unit. State of the art equipment allows us to use both hard and soft abrasive media. This means each job can be customized based on the surface material and the need of the customer.

Soft Abrasive- Baking Soda

  • Granular Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) is best suited to jobs were the surface being blasted would be damaged with the use of a hard abrasive. Baking soda will leave the surface unharmed and washes away with a simple rinse of water.

  • Removes carbon, grease, oils, gasket material, surface corrosion, paint, mold and coatings from a variety of metals, plastics, wood, glass, and masonry without substrate damage or distortion.

  • The use of Baking Soda is the latest, greenest technology to safely strip paint and/or clean nearly any surface.

  • We use Maintenance XL formula (General purpose surface preparation and coatings removal) for the majority of jobs. Others available upon request (priced may vary).

Hard Abrasive- Recycled Crushed Glass

  • This eco-friendly product is manufactured from 100% post-consumer, recycled bottle glass.

  • The angular particles in crushed glass grit allow for aggressive surface profiling and removal of coatings similar to sand blasting, yet contains no free silica.

  • It is available in a variety of grit sizes (we carry 50 & 70 grit, others available by request).
